About this event:
Ring in the festive season with classical carols at Blaauwklippen
Gather your loved ones for golden hours of music and joy at the special “Classical Carols by Candlelight” concert presented at Blaauwklippen on Sunday, 19 December. The show will feature the Stellenbosch University Symphonic Wind Orchestra (conducted by Pamela Kierman and Reghardt Kühn), Minette du Toit-Pearce (mezzo soprano), Francois Voges (violin), Craig Johnston (bagpipe), Ronel Lombard (bagpipe), the singing twins Robin and Philippa Cork and the Tygerberg Children’s Choir Quartet: Kelly Petersen, Ethan Rosser, Ghrete Marren and Bethany Sayers performing with presenter, singer and well-loved musical event organiser Niël Rademan.
With casual, picnic-stye seating on the lawns of the oldest wine farm in Stellenbosch’s golden triangle, families and friends can enjoy outstanding music in a stunning setting. The programme includes a variety of classic festive and sacred music to touch hearts and delight listeners of all ages, setting the mood for the most wonderful time of the year.
Wine, drinks and picnic food will be available to buy from The Blaauwklippen Family Market, however pre-booking is advised. Guests can bring their own picnic and snuggle blankets to relax on the lawn until after sunset.
The show will take place on Sunday, 19 December on the lawns outside the historic Blaauwklippen Manor House. Gates will open at 18:00 and the performance will be from 18:30 to 20:30.
